In order to reduce further Island Blu ecological footprint, we decided to shift from virgin paper to 100% recycled cardboard for our cartons. We specify no bleaching and all natural inks so our cartons use no new paper, are good for storing and shipping Island Blu and when no longer needed, fully recyclable or degradable. This was the first request of this kind for the supplier of our cartons and after some test we all agreed that it was suitable for Island Blu. So Island Blu now gives a second life to cardboard which might have otherwise been discarded in a landfill, and helps prevent deforestation caused by the quest for virgin paper.
